Maria was born and raised in Mexico City where she received her BA in International Business from Tec de Monterrey and completed a foreign exchange program at Ecole Superieure de Commerce in France. After finishing her studies Maria earned her spot as marketing analyst for a special government program sponsored by the Mexican Ministry of Economy. From this experience, she was then hired on Frost & Sullivan Consulting Firm where her analytical talents allowed her to excel and represent Frost at several international conferences.

After successfully navigating a short career with Frost and Sullivan in Mexico City, in 2010 Maria moved to San Antonio where she followed her passion in radio broadcast. In 2013, she became the manager of the U.S. affiliate of Radio Formula Network until 2016. While at Radio Formula, Maria hosted a daily news talk show which brought important international topics to the many native Spanish audience throughout San Antonio.
Her success and dutiful communication with the Mexican-American audience connected her to the Asociación
de Empresarios Mexicanos (AEM) where she served as the National Executive Director from 2016-2021. She now currently serves as a board member of AEM San Antonio Chapter and leads the Women’s Committee. It is Maria’s passion and honor to serve in this position to strengthen the business ties of the San Antonio Mexican-American community and her beloved country of Mexico.
In addition to serving as a board member of AEM, Maria is the COO of Homenovate, a local residential construction & renovation company. Her applied business skills and abilities have helped the company reach new heights which local news station, KENS5, broadcast a 3-part series of this woman-owned business and how they are helping to change the lives of many homeowners, buyers, and sellers.
