Javier López de Obeso
Board Member - AEM National Treasurer
Partner of the firm specializing in corporate compliance F&C Consulting Group, current President of the Asociación de Empresarios Mexicanos, San Antonio Chapter. Mr. Lopez de Obeso is a lawyer authorized in Mexico and recognized as a Foreign Legal Consultant by the Supreme Court of Texas.
He focuses his professional practice in the areas of international corporate compliance, anti-corruption and investigations and business legal matters, advising multinational companies and international investors with their businesses or investments in the United States of America, Mexico and other Latin American countries.
Mr. López de Obeso has a master’s degree in law from the University of Houston, a Master’s in Law from the University of Barcelona and a law degree from ITESO, Guadalajara, Jalisco and a certified implementer of ISO 37001.

Victor Reyna
Board Member - AEM USA Treasurer
Victor has over 14 years of experience in the banking and finance industry, concentrating on corporate, commercial, private, and business banking. He has focused on helping companies grow their business locally and internationally by negotiating debt facilities and effectively implementing complementary financial products and services.
Victor is originally from Monterrey, Mexico. He holds an undergraduate degree in Business Administration from the University of Maryland Europe and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of the Incarnate Word.
Victor is involved in local organizations to advocate for economic development and the betterment of our community. He is the National Treasurer of the Asociacion de Empresarios Mexicanos.
In 2021, Victor completed the Leadership Lab through the North Chamber of Commerce.

Francisco J. Ruíz López
Board Member
Francisco Ruiz, known to his friends as Paco Ruiz, is an entrepreneur, director of KIUBIX and a volunteer through different Civil Society organizations.
Specialist in Operations Management and Engineer in Electronics and Digital Systems.
Since 2000 he has specialized in areas of WEB Technologies with studies at Queens University in Ontario, Canada and the Swiss Cottage Institute in London, England.
In 2001 he founded KIUBIX, a leading company in Web technologies, through which he participates in business organizations such as COPARMEX, where he was elected as National President of Young Entrepreneurs for the period 2010-2013.
In November 2011, he received the International Presidency of Young Entrepreneurs of the G20 and in 2012 he led the Summit of Young Entrepreneurs of the 20 main economies in the world where the documents generated are delivered to the leaders and businessmen of the B20.
From 2014 to 2018 he presided over COPARMEX Aguascalientes where he united, represented and promoted the businessmen of the state.
In 2019 he was regional president of COPARMEX in the Bajío-Norte zone, and is currently president of the National Committee of COPARMEX Digital, Board Member of Aguascalientes of the National Electoral Institute and Board Member in AEM San Antonio.
The work of Francisco through his foundation, “México Líder”, of “KIUBIX” and the civil society organizations through which he participates, has achieved:

With over 20 years in the Marketing industry, Ruben Linder is the Owner and CEO of OPCOM Media Group and Open Audio in Mexico and the US.
He uses Video and Audio as a vehicle to help Small/Medium-Sized companies drive business growth.
Audio and Video Producer, Sound Branding Expert, Communicator, and Business Owner, creating Sales and Corporate Videos, Original Music, Sound Design, and E-learning services for Global Brands and Fortune 500 Companies.

Alberto E Matta
Board Member
Alberto has more than 15 years of banking experience, and thanks to his knowledge, he can assist business clients with their banking and financing requirements. Currently serves the San Antonio market as well as its surroundings.
Alberto, who is originally from Monterrey, Mexico, graduated from The University of the Incarnate Word with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. Enjoys playing golf and pickleball, as well as traveling with his wife.

William Cortez
Board Member
Born into the restaurant business, William Cortez is a fourth-generation family member of La Familia Cortez Restaurants. In 1941, William’s great-grandfather, Pedro Cortez, started La Familia Cortez Restaurants, which includes the world-famous Mi Tierra Café, and has since expanded to four generations and five restaurant locations.
While earning a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of the Incarnate Word, William worked in other restaurants such as, The Grille in Leon Springs, The Roaring Fork, and Cappy’s that helped him gain insight into the restaurant and hospitality industry. After graduation, William began working full-time for his family business where he helped to oversee the construction and operation of the newest restaurant, Mi Familia de Mi Tierra. William is currently overseeing La Margarita Restaurant and Oyster Bar while continuing to play roles in different areas of the organization.
